what is the best freight ship? my opinion is a F4 can do some freight and as security already. So, I will say that for myself. All ships need an escort but F4 can pack a punch and freight so has great utility. I would like to add a freight to my fleet when fund become available, but I’ll have to make do with my F4 and R8 to do my freighting along with a transport. what do you think?

Yeah Pearce F4 seems to be able to do freight and self defense all in one, pretty perfect. Hopefully the R8 doesnt slow you down but having that as a back up could get you really deep into the high risk zone.
But I think, all in all, the Rainbow Arc is THE best freighter if you can afford it. ‘highest attainable manufacturing processes to the known star atlas metaverse’ it says in the description
